Pig in a Crate!

final

My youngest (grown up daughter) randomly asked for a pig card a couple of days ago so had to improvise with punch art to create this.  I decided he would look pretty darn cute looking over the fence so decided to use the Stampin Up Wooden Crate die to make a card in a box. I didn’t use the base as I wanted the card to fold down for an envelope, and by doing this I was able to cut both sides out of the same DSP.

Biggest Morning Tea!

Breast CancerWhat a delightful stamp that came into my possession at our local On Stage event in Perth WA, especially as it was a prize!  As I made this before my new stash of colours arrived I white heat embossed onto white card and then sponged it all with blushing bride ink. Was rather a long task so maybe next time I will use the new powder pink card and emboss straight onto it!

Would be lovely to see lots of cards and ribbons out there ready for the Biggest Morning Tea next month crafters!

My Story

I have been paper crafting now for many years on and off.  I had a short break when I moved from the UK to Perth, Australia but on a random search for a craft punch I discovered Stampin Up and have never looked back.

Its amazing watching a piece of card stock transforming into something that you have created yourself, whether it be a card, a box or even a gift tag.  In the future I hope to share new things that I make with you in the hope that you will also get enjoyment from what you can create yourself.  All you need is basic equipment and a little imagination.   I’m happy for you to ‘case’ something I have made to inspire yourself to release your creativity and am happy to share some of those products for you to have a go on your own or with your friends with my assistance.  Craft can be enjoyed from very young.  Its never too early to start and can be adapted for its potential audience.

Recently I attended the Stampin Up On Stage event in Perth.  This was held not only here but all over Australia, the USA and Europe.  Like minded people came together to share their makes and see new products and techniques for the upcoming launch of their annual catalogue.  I have to say I was more than excited with the new vibrant colours and products they have in store for us.  There is still so much for us all to learn and I hope that you would like to enjoy the journey alongside us!

Daisy Delight Card In a Box

I was very fortunate to win the Daisy Delight stamp set at Stampin Up On Stage Perth recently.  I have been desperately wanting to get my hands on the matching punch and finally its arrived! Being me I  wanted to make a card in a box using the new Wood Crate Framelits Die (somehow I have managed to almost completely cover the cute little slits on the front!  I will endeavour to rectify this on my second attempt!).  I needed some foliage so brought in the retiring Botanical Blooms to add some depth. The Wood Texture Designer Series Paper Stack was used for the inserts and crate.

What a better way to display the new In Colours with an array of flowers and wanting to do something different I mixed and matched the colours instead of using two layers of the same colour for each flower.  The new Faceted Gold Gems added the finishing touches along with the new Happy Birthday Thinlits Die for a sentiment.  I was so lucky to be able to get my hands on a pre order but it won’t be long before you can all be playing with the new products! I will add links when they are available.

Apart from lining up the inserts this is actually quite an easy card to make (honestly)!  If I can do it, anyone can!

Thank you for looking!
